Accessibility Statement

Peter Law is committed to making realtorpeterlaw.com accessible to everyone — including people who use assistive technology and people with vision, hearing, cognitive, or motor disabilities.

Our commitment

We believe every visitor should be able to read our content, use our calculators, book a call, and contact us with ease. As an Ontario business, we recognize our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, and we are committed to ongoing improvement.

Standard we follow

The Site aims to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG is the international benchmark referenced by Canadian federal and provincial accessibility regulations.

Measures in place

Steps we've taken to make the Site more accessible include:

  • Semantic HTML for headings, lists, forms, and landmarks so screen readers can navigate content correctly.
  • Descriptive link text instead of vague labels like "click here".
  • Alternative text on meaningful images.
  • Sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
  • Keyboard-navigable menus and interactive elements, so the Site can be used without a mouse.
  • Responsive design that adapts to phones, tablets, and desktop screens.
  • Readable font sizes with support for browser text-resizing.
  • ARIA attributes on complex components (menus, dialogs, expandable sections) where appropriate.
  • A bilingual site (English and 中文) to reduce language barriers.

Accessible formats & communication supports

If you need information from this Site in an alternative format (large print, plain text, audio, an accessible PDF, or another format), or if you need a communication support to interact with us, please reach out. We will provide the requested format or support in a timely manner, at no additional cost, and after consulting with you on your preferences — as required by AODA.

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of the Site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Common limitations include:

  • Certain third-party embeds (scheduling widgets, external calculators, social feeds) may not fully meet AA in every case; we choose providers based partly on their accessibility.
  • Older blog posts or PDFs may lag behind current standards while we work through the archive.
  • Charts and diagrams that convey data are being progressively supplemented with text-based descriptions.

If you encounter a specific barrier that keeps you from using the Site, please tell us — see below.

Feedback

Feedback from users of assistive technology is one of the most valuable tools we have for improving the Site. If you experience a barrier — a page that won't read correctly, a form you can't complete, an element you can't operate with keyboard or voice — please let us know:

  • What you were trying to do
  • The page or feature involved
  • The assistive technology or browser you were using, if you're comfortable sharing

We will acknowledge your feedback within a reasonable time and respond with what we plan to do.
